I came with my family to Bangkok to look for work and ended up staying with my older sister’s family at the Abundant Life Center. At that time there was no sewing department but the ALC was a shelter for those coming to Bangkok to look for work and you could stay on for very low rent. I came to know who God was through the worship times there and when ALC Crafts opened up, I got a job sewing and got involved in the Bible Studies, worship and the different activities with others at the ALC.

The thing that turned my heart to truly believe in God and follow Him came from family problems that broke up my husband and I. I didn’t know where to turn for refuge and it was then that I sought help from God through prayer, reading God’s Word and listening to testimonies from others who had gotten help from Him. This gave me hope in God. Most importantly, there were many Bible verses that comforted me during this season. It was at this time that I decided to give God my life and let Him be my Savior. With separation from my husband my son and I were missing both a father and leader in our family. God became both a father leader to us. I thank Him for loving my son and me. Many times I am discouraged about life but God strengthens me each time through worship music, listening to sermons and testimonies. Thank you God!

During Covid, San went back to help her sister and mom when her father’s drinking got out of control. It has been a heartbreaking time for her family as they have decided to move their mom to be in Bangkok during this season.
