Outreach Events
We believe that our faith is not only about our relationship with God but about how we live our lives out in this world. The call is to love – not just those in our inner circles but our families and those around us.

Annual Village Visits
Every year we go as a church to visit the home of one of our church members, with the intention that family and relatives would get to know us, and for us to get to know them. We minister in areas of felt need for those we go to visit (schools, house projects, children) and ask permission to have worship services in their homes.
ALC Summer
For Kids
Thai summer vacation begins around mid-March and school begins around mid-May. ALC opens up our doors to the children in the neighborhood for 3 weeks doing a children’s program which includes English teaching, songs and games, fun art activities & creative eating projects.
Concert Day
Along with our ALC summer children performing, our friends from Cru and from Ubon have joined us in performing a mixture of folk, modern, northeastern and Christian songs that the ALC community loves to sit back and listen to.
Children's Day
The second Saturday of every year is Thailand’s “Children’s Day“. At ALC we shut down the sewing department for the day and in the morning prepare our games and set up our stations. In the afternoon our neighborhood descends upon us and everyone has a great time at ALC’s mini-carnival!
Thai Teaching
8 years ago, refugees moved into the ALC neighborhood and sought ALC out as fellow Christians. Thai language lessons, youth group, hospital visits and vocational training projects evolved from our new relationship together. We also help with exit finances when they are finally placed in a new country. We are able to raise funds through the Evangelical Covenant Church. Annual Christmas Neighborhood Block Party
For years the ALC Christmas program was a neighborhood bash as the community anticipated the upcoming party. Kids came to practice dances, songs, camp; skits and our church members also prepared a program to share about who Christ was in their lives. We prepared lots and lots of food and many neighbors donated food as well. It was a joyous time for our whole community. These last two years we have worshipped as a church body inviting close friends to be with us as we celebrate Christ’s birth.
